Hi dear friends, we are raising funds to help Anto to travel home for final send off of his late brother aa well as assist in funeral arrangements. Any amount will go far. Thank you . God bless

Here is a summary from Anto about his brother.
My brother, Simon Kipkirui Ronoh, was diagnosed by Tenwek Hospital with esophageal cancer in 2014.  With the financial assistance of friends in the US and Kenya, and under the care of Dr. Gladwell Kiarie, he underwent an initial chemotherapy treatment plan at the MP Shah Hospital in Kenya. At the end of the chemo process, the tumor was supposed to have reduced enough for surgical resection. But it didn’t. So we went to another clinic called Texas Cancer Center and under Dr. Nyongesa, he was treated with both chemo and radiotherapy.  It was somewhat more successful in reducing tumor.
But in May, I was boarding a plane going to the Dominican Republic. As I walked into the plane, I received a message from my young brother telling me that Simon's situation had deteriorated. He had not been able to swallow solid foods for 4 days and were on the way to Tenwek to see a doctor. 3 days later I learnt that the cancer had grown 3-fold since he was diagnosed at the same hospital over 2 years ago. Apparently it had pushed the stent that Tenwek had placed over the tumor into the lumen of the esophagus and had practically blocked the lumen so he would not be able to swallow. Tenwek was able to replace the original stent with a bigger one.
I was really optimistic.  That all will go well.  About 10 days ago, he had vomited some blood.  He went to Tenwek, and he got transfused with some blood. His hemoglobin level when he got there was 3.0 (normal = 13.5 to 17.5); After transfusion, they got it to 9. But his oxygen saturation levels kept fluctuating around 80-88. (The critical level is around 92).
Around noon yesterday, Stanley told me it was back to > or = 92 and I went to sleep knowing and hoping he would be discharged today. Then he left us.
Simon went to Litein High School in Kericho County, then to Nakuru Teacher’ College in Nakuru County.  He thn went on to start his teaching career at St. Monica’s Academy in Keringet, Nakuru and later moved on to be the pioneer teacher at Sinendet Catholic School in Olenguruone, Nakuru County.
Simon leaves behind his wife Beatrice Ronoh, 4 children, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, and mom.
