#GoBeyondGiving Early Tuesday morning on September 27th, 2016 around 9 am, Hayli Verbanic was t-boned by a SUV. When they put a tube down her throat while she was still in the car, she gagged, immediately the paramedics called for life flight to take her to Grady Memorial Hospital. It took the paramedics 30 minutes to get her out of her car. After they thought that Hayli was not going to make it. When she arrived to the hospital they immediately got her into surgery to remove a piece of her skull to remove the bleeding and blood clot on her brain. Her brain and brain stem had shifted completely to the right so doctors had to place her brain and brain stem back in its original place. Along with that she has a fractured pelvic bone, some internal bleeding on her bladder and air pockets on her lungs. The doctors said that the hardest part of this situation was Hayli making it to the hospital and getting through surgery. Doctors said surgery went better than they could ever hope for. Hayli is stable and is currently in a natural coma. She has had a lot of movement and is actually raising her right arm up which is unbelievely awesome. The doctors have not yet started working on the pelvic bone or air pockets. It is a waiting game from this point on so any and all prayers and thoughts are appreciated. Hayli has tons of support and is putting up a big fight. She is a working miracle. Any amount of donations will go straight towards all of Haylis medical expenses.
