Project Cozy Toes: Sock-Toe-Ber Fest
Last year, I learned that the most needed and least donated item to shelters, is socks! Hence, Project Cozy Toes was born. I thought, wouldn't it be great if I could collect 250 pairs of socks, and donate them to local shelters in the Denver area? I invited a group of friends to dinner at Papa Mazzotti's last fall; a great mom & pop Italian restaurant in Eastlake, CO. I asked everyone to bring with them at least one new pair of socks and much to my surprise, I walked out of the restaurant with 64 pairs of brand new socks! I am truly blessed with great friends who never cease to amaze me! With a few more posts about Project Cozy Toes on my Facebook page, I was blessed with so much generosity, that I ended up with over 2400 pairs of new socks in my basement! I was able to provide four shelters with several bags of new socks; the looks on the staff's faces were just priceless when I delivered the socks. This year, I'm starting Project Cozy Toes a month earlier than last year, and introducing Sock-Toe-Ber Fest. My goal is to raise $1000 in the month of October in hopes of exceeding last year's sock drive goal. I truly appreciate your consideration in supporting Project Cozy Toes; and May All Your Toes Be Cozy!
