On September 3rd our friend Sarah Gail Armstrong was hit by a motorist while riding her bike, the driver fled the scene.
Sarah lost her two front teeth, sustained bodily injury, and her bike (her only means of transportation) was destroyed. After 8+ hours in the ER and numerous doctor visits, she has not been able to get care and is still in urgent need of restoration of her teeth, help with medical bills, physical therapy, and a bike.
The major dental restoration is not covered by her insurance and is extremely expensive–between $3,000-$5,000.
Sarah is an active performance artist and poet, this damage to her teeth has hindered her ability to perform publicly, an important part of her livelyhood.
