This is Shaun and his beautiful little girl! Until January this year he was just a regular 24 year old, I am asking for the help from my generous family and friends to dig as deep as you can to help out my beautiful family! Shaun needs our help! I'm hoping to raise funds to help them with some alternative treatments and hospital/medical cost! Every dollar counts! Here is just a snippet of what has been going on in his world this year! And it's far from over! Originally diagnosed on 21-1-16 with Metastatic Germ Cell Tumor - Choriocarinoma. This is also known as Testicular Cancer. When Shaun was diagnosed it had already metastasized to his liver, lungs and brain, he also had a tumor the size of a cricket ball near his left kidney, that's how the diagnosis was made as he thought he had a sore back from work. He was admitted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for immediate chemotherapy. One week later he was found blue after a reaction to one of the chemo drugs he was moved to the High Dependency Respiratory Unit and put on a breathing machine as his lungs could not breathe for him. He spent a week in there. All up he was in hospital for 6 weeks continuing chemo. All the while losing his hair having no energy and vomiting continually. All up he had 7 rounds of chemo. After that he had scans and some of the tumors did shrink a little. The Dr's decided to give him a break from treatment while monitoring his bloods. On the 20th Aug he had 2 seizures and was rushed to hospital where an mri picked up a new tumor in the brain that had bled. 2 weeks later he had brain surgery to remove the tumor which was cancerous. So the Dr's decided to do radiation on his brain. It's was during another mri that they discovered another tumor had grown on his brain within about 3 weeks. Also his tumor markers were shooting back up again. So on 5th October he will start a 4 week 5days a week Radiation and on 17th October they will start a new chemotherapy protocol. The cancer has now also spread to his spine at L3 & L4! Please if you can donate, even a few dollars, to help Shaun and his family out, it would be much appreciated. If you could also pray for him and his family we would be ever so grateful! Xoxo Much love and we will keep you all updated on his progress xoxo
