To our journey in DI, which we have chose

Back in 2012, which was several years ago

DI gave us an opportunity to learn and to grow.

Some may have heard of the program, while some may have not

So please let us remind you, in case you have forgot

DI is a global sensation

A program with no limitation

From kindergarten to university

With lots of diversity

Acting out STEM challenges with a creative flair

Our Imaginations can transport us anywhere

No adults to guide or to lead

Children must think for themselves, indeed

With teamwork, they’ll overcome

And with their solutions, they will stun

We worked hard all year for our last competition season

On March 4th we competed against our whole region

We advanced to state, our hearts full

Our minds sharp, we were on a roll

Then on the 25th of March

Kennewick called, we embarked

Throwing our hearts out onto the stage

While the audience was extremely engaged

The medal and invitation came

A Kansas City win, we hope to claim

The global competition, here we come

We will shine as bright as the sun

In May we'll show the world our might

With teamwork, together we will take flight

Against teams from across the globe and bring audiences the chills,

Attending workshops that will build our creativity and skills

We're just a team of two, but we will stand tall

And give our best, putting in our all

But costs are high, and we seek aid

To fund our trip, where we'll make a name

We're asking for your help, every bit counts

To help us reach our goal and our final amount

The financial burden of $10,000, we face alone

But your generosity will help make us known

Below is a video of our challenge for this year. We were tasked with creating and presenting a flipped tale that is inspired by a well-known story but focuses on a new main character, use theatrical techniques to move the audience’s focus from one portion of the presentation area to another, and designing and building a piece of scenery that goes through a scenery flip. Please enjoy.
