Tom & Ginger's Motorcycle Accident

Yesterday afternoon two very close friends of ours, Tom & Ginger, we involved in a very bad motorcycle accident.  What was supposed to be an uneventful ride home from a wonderful weekend touring around Durango, Colorado turned into a horrific encounter with a deer outside of Flagstaff.  Tom and Ginger were riding their Harley south out of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road and hit a deer at full speed.  Thankfully both were wearing full gear including helmets, but an impact like that is bound to do some major damage.  Tom bore the majority of the impact and suffered 6 cracked ribs, a laceration on his spleen, a fractured fibula, scapula, torn ligaments in his knee and lots of bruising.  Ginger faired much better but didn't walk away completely unscathed.  She is bruised all over, has damage to her knees and numerous lacerations.  We are all so grateful and thank the Lord that it wasn't any worse, but the sobering fact is it's going to be a long and painful road to a full recovery.  I'm always amazed by our motorcylce community and how we always rally around each other in time of need, many times without even knowing the downed rider personally.  I'm asking all my moto-friends and family to please pray for quick healing and to help Tom & Ginger out by contributing whatever you can afford towards their medical bills and help cover the time off from work Tom is undoubtedly going to need to get better.  Thank you so very much for your generousity!
