Hello.
My name is Sean Raymond, and with my wife, Carla, we are asking for help with our mortgage.
I am embarrassed to admit it, but at this moment we are two payments behind on our house mortgage, which is $2000. We continue to make payments each month so we do not fall further behind, but each payment is actually a payment an a half.
We first fell behind paying for some car repairs, then had to wait until the end of the next month to pay our mortgage. That put us officially 60 days behind.
It has not been the best year of our lives. My company cut back my department, and I have taken a 1/3 pay cut since April of 2015. My wife, a hair dresser for 35+ years, is slowly but surely losing her client base to old age and death. In January of this year we were attempting to sell our house. We had one offer, and it looked good. However, the buyer lost her job and we fell out of escrow.
Our saddest moment came when my daughter passed away in Januray 2016.
I say all of this just so you know we truely need some help. We are both 62 years old, and assure you we are not deadbeats. We have just fallen behind. Finding a new job in this economy, at our age, has been very difficult and disappointing, yet we both continue to look.
Our families have helped us as much as they can, but can do no more. If we can get over this hump of 2 payments, we would be is much better shape.
All I can say is that I am in need, and I am embarrassed to ask for help. All that I can offer is to remember anyone who helps us, and repay that person. It would truely be a blessing to be caught up, and we are grateful for any help you can offer.
