Dear Friends,
Barbara M. (Schneider)Weiss, a beautiful, caring, and generous spirit, passed away on January 5th, 2018. Barb was a daughter, sister, cousin, friend, co-worker, teacher and an absolutely dedicated mother to two amazing children, Ryan and Rachel. Barb's children were her world.
For Barb, one of the most important gifts she shared with Ryan and Rachel, was her love of learning. Barb loved learning in the classroom, learning from new experiences, as well as learning from people. Barb was always curious and interested; she had a great sense of fun and adventure.
It's not surprising that while in High School, Barb decided to study abroad in Denmark. When she returned Barb studied Education at Northern Illinois University and later earned a Master's Degree in Special Education. Barb committed herself to teaching, inspiring children, and believing that everyone had the capacity to be enriched by learning experiences.
For Ryan and Rachel, she fostered their love of learning and encouraged them to pursue their unique dreams. Currently, Ryan is a Junior at Wright State University. Ryan is a very talented, left-handed pitcher for the Wright State Raiders family with high prospects for being drafted in June for the MLB. Rachel is completing her Associate's Degree from Elgin Community College in May. In the Fall, Rachel plans to attend LIM College (Laboratory Institute of Merchandising College) in midtown, Manhattan. There Rachel will pursue her Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising.
In honor of Barb's memory let's support Ryan and Rachel as they.... Go Forth and Set the World on Fire!
The funds collected will be withdrawn from go-fund-me and deposited into the Weiss Children's Education Fund by Barbara's mother, Susan Steinbach.
