Michael Fahy, a fellow graduate of North Rockland High School and Battalion Chief and 17 year veteran in the FDNY was killed Tuesday responding to a gas explosion in the Bronx.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Fiona (my classmate at Emory Law School and colleague at Bingham McCutchen), and their three children, Michael, Anna and Cormac. I cannot begin to fathom what they must be going through right now.
The FDNY has now started an education fund for the kids and i will make sure that these funds go to the family and/or get deposited into that fund. That website is: fdnyfoundation.org/donate and select the "Chief Michael J. Fahy Children's Educational Fund" from the drop down menu.
