A loving wife and mother, Julie (Bristle) McRobert lost her fight to cancer on September 26th, 2016.
Not one to enjoy attention placed upon her, nor burden others with her struggles, she did not share her diagnosis or treatment with anyone other than her supportive husband, Wes. Instead, she focused on fighting the cancer so that she could continue to be with her family. She continued to work in her role as a mental health professional as long as she could – offering help and guidance to others while providing financially for her family.
Unfortunately, by the time the cancer was diagnosed, it had already spread to other areas. She had little time to try and fight the illness while also preparing to leave behind her family. Julie became a mother late in life, and it brought her such joy. It is heartbreaking to know that her little girl, who turns just two years old at the end of October, will know her mom primarily through pictures and stories.
Julie leaves behind not only her husband and little girl, but her two (twin) step-sons.
Money raised through this GoFundMe will go toward helping cover immediate expenses and child care bills. It’s been an incredible burden to carry this load just between the two of them for several months. Let’s try to soften the load for Wes as he grieves, and works to put the pieces of his family back together.
