Hello friends and family,

We are reaching out to you today on behalf of our dear friends, Allan and Jenna, who are facing an unexpected and extremely challenging medical journey. Allan, at 40 years young, has been privately dealing with a rare progressive genetic cardiac condition. He was admitted to the Cardiac ICU at UCLA medical center on December 5, 2023 and as of today, January 2, 2024, his condition remains critical.

Allan and Jenna, who recently married, are navigating this difficult time with immense strength and resilience, however, the road ahead is long. After an extensive workup, including several interventional cardiac procedures, Allan’s medical team has recommended placing him on the heart transplant list as priority status 2. His condition requires that he remain in the ICU on supportive measures until a transplant becomes available. The estimated wait time for a new heart is unknown and necessary post-transplant care will require relocation to be near the transplant center in Los Angeles.

The financial burden on them is overwhelming. Alongside substantial medical expenses, the need for housing, food, and transportation during this period has placed a strain on their resources. Jenna, Allan's devoted wife, has been displaced from their home in Santa Barbara, which is 90 miles away from UCLA medical center, and has been staying in hotels and relying on the generosity of friends for temporary accommodations.

Allan and Jenna's families are located on the East Coast, spanning between New York and Florida, making the challenges they face that much more difficult.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to rally around them during this difficult time and offer support. Your contributions will help cover medical expenses, housing and relocation costs in the Los Angeles area, and everyday necessities.
