Our Monster family ask for your support for our fallen family member.  For those of you who knew Vern, he was the ultimate Monster.
Please join us in contributing to the "Vern Smith Memorial Fund".

All proceeds will be presented to his daughter Stephanie Smith and his wife Tang Smith.

Vern Smith, business development director at Monster, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, according to the company. He was 55.

Vern had been with the company for more than 30 years, Noel Lee, head monster, said in a statement. He is survived by his wife, Tang Smith, and his daughter, Stephanie Smith.

Said Lee: “Vern was everyone’s Monster. There was always a ‘Vernism’ to bring a smile to everyone’s face during the most seriousness of meetings. His heart was gold and always in the right place. From his teamwork, comradery, teaching and mentoring others, and his ‘always there’ participation in hundreds of retailer and business meetings that helped build Monster throughout the years. He was indispensable.”

Lee fondly recalled an especially memorable Smith event at CES 2015, when Smith was “made” to dance by Shaquille O’Neal at the company’s press conference.

Added Lee: “Vern was universally loved. No drama. Just pure Vern. He will be sorely missed in the Monster family. Please join me in giving heartfelt condolences to his family, and everyone he affected both within Monster and outside.”
