On Jan 25, 2015 my wife Jennifer had a hemorrhagic stroke leaving her with left side paralysis and weakness. Through months of therapy she has recovered nearly 90% of her physical and cognitive ability. However, upon follow up appointments and many scans and test, it has been found that Jennifer now has a fistula (AVM) and suffers from Focal seizures in her left leg. Her doctors have referred her to USC for extensive testing and it has been recommended that another brain surgery is needed to remove the fistula and locate and remove the problem causing the seizures as medication has not controlled them. This surgery is necessary to prevent a possible brain hemorrhage causing another stroke and prevent grand mal seizures. We have been told by 3 neurologists that Jennifer has a complicated and rare condition and that surgery is needed ASAP. Waiting is just delaying the inevitable. This surgery has to be done at USC's Epilepsy Center. She is expected to be admitted for 10 days with a follow up 1 month later. We are asking your donation to help with the max out of pocket of $6000 for the insurance, travel expenses for me to stay close to the hospital at USC, gas, and lodging, follow up appointments and any other unforeseen expenses. Any donation is extremely appreciated including your concerns, prayers and emotional support.
