Kevin Lovelace was a normal 26 year old man with a fiancé looking forward to their bright future as an educator and coach, when he was diagnosed with adnoidcystic carcinoma last year.
Finding out that this type of cancer was very rare, surgery was scheduled right away to remove his soft pallet and undergo radiation treatments. Kevin maintained a positive attitude, but was unable to work after surgery and his medical bills were piling up, as he found out that his insurance plan didn’t cover all the proton therapy treatments, bloodwork, MRI’s, CAT scans and follow up appointments.
Kevin has just finished his 30 radiation treatments and is eager to get back to work substitute teaching for special needs students, volunteering as a coach for the communities youth baseball program, while going back to school to become a full time teacher. Thankfully, substitute teaching has been a flexible job, as he can’t work every day with the treatments and recovery process.
Kevin’s medical bills for all of his cancer treatment’s have added up to an astronomical amount and is a huge burden on him. He wants to be able to focus on his recovery, getting back to full time work as a substitute, going to school to complete his teaching certification and volunteering as a coach.
Please help him get these medical bills paid off. I've chosen an arbitrary amount as the goal because it is required in order to create a fundraising page, but any amount at all is hugely appreciated.
Thank you so much for anything that you can do to help him get back on his feet without having to worry about collection companies coming after him to pay for his cancer treatment.
