On May 13, 2025, this home was severely damaged from a fire that originally ignited from the neighbor's home in the town of Kingman, AZ. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time. This couple lost their detached garage as well as their master bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The exterior part of the home was badly charred, including the ceilings inside the rest of the home. Due to the large fire, firefighters also sprayed the entire house, causing water damage.

This home was paid off several years back, which is why they did not have home insurance. To help pay for their living expenses, they rented out a bedroom in the home, which is how my husband came across them originally from an Airbnb posting. My husband works construction in Kingman, where he stays with them Monday-Saturday as he rents out the room. They have been the nicest couple you could imagine as they opened their home up to him and have always had such generous hospitality. They have several pet cats, one of which is still missing.

We are starting this GoFundMe page to help pay for the damages to their home. We just want to help in any way we can considering they have been such generous people. I have attached the pictures of what the home looked like previously and what it looked like after. I will also be doing a TikTok video and post updates regularly on how the fundraising is going.
