We are not the type of people to ask for help unless it is needed, but when we have asked for prayers, they have been showered on the little guy and his recovery efforts. Although not out of the clear just yet, we are hopeful that he is on his way.
As most of you have been watching, Donald's ostomy reversal and reconstruction went a little sideways, he had an explosion in his abdomen so to speak and is now back to square one with an iliosotmy. He will have this for another three months and we will have to return for another surgery.
With that being said, this has been hard for the family and to ensure that David could be here, he used the remaining vacation and is now in the beginning stage of FMLA. This unfortunately is not paid time off and will put a hardship on our family. We are definitely keeping our heads up, but are concerned with the financial aspect of keeping a household running, hotel accomodations, food, and entertainment for Delmar during this time.
What should have only been a 7-9 days stay, has turned into two weeks (possibly longer, as well as a chance of being sent to Spokane to see specialists). We wouldn't normally ask for the help, but this scary situation has humbled us and we are now. Any amount would be helpful.
