Under the Anvil

Hey everyone,

My name is Brittany and I am a filmmaker from New Jersey.

When I was a little girl, my mother took me to see the movie Twister in theaters. Little did I know it would change my life forever. When I left the theater that day, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be like "Bill Harding", I wanted to chase storms. But we all have childhood dreams and life didn't pan out quite as expected. Years later, I found myself working for one of the top photo/film studios in NYC. But the dream of chasing storms never died in me.

Now I am setting course on a 3 month long trip, halfway across the country, and I need your support to help me fulfill the dream of that little girl who stepped out of the theater that day looking up at the clouds.



In my upcoming feature length documentary, UNDER THE ANVIL, I am going to be meeting up with storm chasers such as Brandon Ivey on Storm Chasing Tours, and from Discovery Channels “Storm Chasers”.  Along with Nick Drieschman from Extreme Tornado Tours. Together, we will explore what makes people chase after certain danger. I hope to not only make a film about storms, but a film about people as well. I want to find out what it is that makes people chase chaos, what made that little girl at the movies find so fascinating about something so beautiful and dangerous. What makes people put themselves under the anvil?



We will learn the inside stories of real people, along with one of the most beautiful and disasters weather formation, but I need your help to do it!
