Axel’s road to Recovery

Hello everyone, My name is Katlyn and my husband’s name is Jesse. Our 5 year old son Axel was in an explosion under a shelter this past Sunday . Axel is in the Augusta burn centers icu. He had surgery today to add skin to the burns on his face, also to remove the dead/remaining burned skin from his body and he is on a ventilator. We are asking for PRAYERS and if anyone could please help us with gas to get back and forth (3 hours one way) and food while we are at the hospital anything would help us tremendously. I will give updates as soon as possible! Right now it is very hard on us as parents to watch our son go through this and know that there is nothing we can do to help Axel other than be there and talk to him even though he is sedated/temporarily paralyzed so that he doesn’t try to take the breathing tubes and feeding tubes out and most importantly so he does not feel all the pain. Axel did inhale when everything happened so therefore the flames/heat got to his lungs so the main concern right now is Axel’s lungs and the right side of his face. Thank you in advance!
