Lil man is almost 8 months old, we saved him from the bushes, and since then we have been in love and inseparable. One night we noticed his irregular breathing, that he was in pain when picked up, and not his normal self. He used to sleep with us at night, and be the first to greet us in the morning. He couldn't even jump onto the bed, or to get to his food. He started crying and we immediately took him to the vet.
He has been diagnosed with Feline leukemia, and they believe he may have FIP as well, both of these will follow him for the rest of his life. He had 8oz of fluid drained from his chest, and is in 24 hour intensive care currently. His kidneys and liver tests came back and are doing well, but we are waiting on further blood tests to confirm FIP. The costs so far are about $3000, and rising. I am waiting for a copy of the invoice to post, but there's no final number because he is still in the hospital. We are aware that there will be ongoing costs and medication to retain a quality of life, and we are prepared to give everything we have.
I would never ask for money, but like all people on here, I am desperate. I cannot in good conscience let him go so easily when there are options available, and generous hearts that will listen. Even a dollar will help, or whatever you spend your daily cup of coffee on.
My roommate and I are also offering trades; artwork, even feet photos, if that's what you want. If there is something we can trade, LET US KNOW! We will pay you back if you want even.. ANYTHING..PLEASE Please save our son. Please give our baby a chance.
