Jamie Fifield is a legendary Islander who is very well-known by many in Hilton Head and the Low Country.  Jamie was severely bitten by a friend's dog recently while enjoying his first day off after working 16 days straight.  He was immediately rushed to the hospital to undergo emergency plastic surgery and from that he was left barely able to talk, eat, or drink. Although there is beginning to be some improvement in speech and movement, he still has a long way to go and medical bills are mounting quickly. He does not have insurance and there are still procedures needed to be done. At this point, it is still unclear when Jamie can return to work. He had a good portion of his lip taken off in the attack. This injury was exteremely gruesome. It is uncertain if there will be long-term muscle and nerve damage resulting from this. It's definitely life altering! Jamie maintains a positive attude but has definitely endured alot of pain and stress from something he had no control over. Donations are needed!
