Craig "Flash" Wilkins, the Big Man, the husband, father, son, brother, friend and work mate . This is for you and your family.
On one ordinary day he woke, kissed his family and went to work..... Just as usual ...As a wardsman in the local hospitals he is custom to helping others. His infectious joy and crazy sense of humour helped to ease those in his care and all around him. It was these very colleagues who "knew" something wasn't right on that ordinary day. They ordered him into a bed and within a "moment in time" his life and that of his wife and young family changed forever. He was heading to surgery for brain cancer. As circumstances will be, further complications have put Craig at the bottom of a very big mountain, the start of what will be a very long, slow, difficult road to recovery...
Everyone knows Craig, Flash, Big Man..... the mate with the biggest heart. We know of his love of his family, his mates, footy, chocolate, a pie and sauce and the occasional beer. He'd give anyone the shirt off his back...
Many people have already sent best wishes and this support gives Craig, Ruth and the kids great comfort and strength.
"Craig's Road To Recovery" is a way for his extended family, friends, mates and colleagues, those who know him and those who don't to help ease some of the the financial pressures during this expensive, long, hard road to recovery.
The immediate goal is to modify his house, so that he can move back home, to be back in the care of his loving family.
