On Friday, September 23, beloved Glover third grade teacher, Amanda LeFort, returned home from school to find her condominium completely destroyed by fire. The electrical fire had started in the basement and quickly spread. Thankfully, no one was home at the time. Amanda's husband and young son, Reed, were out for a walk when the fire started. Tragically, the family's cat did not survive.
Amanda, her husband, and her son are staying with family nearby. They have most likely lost all of their belongings. They cannot return to their home for at least two months, if ever. Thankfully, they are all safe.
Many lives have been touched by Amanda's kind personality and incredible teaching. In turn, many have reached out and asked how they can help. At this time, the family is facing an extreme loss of property and will need funds to rebuild their lives. We can help support Amanda and her family by donating to this Go Fund Me site.
This site is set up individually, not by the Milton Public Schools. All funds raised will go directly to the LeFort family. Thank you for considering donating to help this amazing family in their time of need.
