I don't even know where to start or begin to put into words what a wonderful human being Helen is! She can light up a room with her smile and laugh!! Helen and her family have been faced with the worst possible news imaginable. Through many testings and long nights, hoping for the best possible outcome, she was given the news by Gibbs Cancer center that she only has 18 mo left to live, diagnosed with stage 4 Ca in the lungs unknown origin, that is UNTREATABLE. Faced with this news and living nightmare, Helen has wishes, more importantly she has Hope that she can spend her days while her body may let her and what little time, to take her two young boys and travel with them, exploring and enjoying life as she knows it. Let's please make this possible for Helen. I couldn't think of a better way to donate money then to keep that smile on Helens face, because if anyone can defy odds it would be her.
Helen has lived for everyone else her whole adult life, wanting to help and make people feel better. She joined the Navy and stayed almost two years as part of the military police. She then became a stay at home mom to her two handsome boys, Preston, 12 and Joey 11. She remained at home with them, raising them to be young men, all while volunteering with kids, coaching, teaching and also at church for 8 years. Helen then became a Paramedic with us at SEMS, where we all got to know her, and her love for life! She was also apart of the RMAT team :) all while Persuing Premed.
Any donations and help would be extremely appreciated by Helen, her family, and especially her friends that want to help Helen Do a little traveling with her boys!!! I wouldn't say that's too much to ask for such a beautiful soul inside and out!! #TEAMHELEN
