Hi! We are Billy & Laura Crockett. Last year we lost our home & thanks to some really great people we have the opportunity to buy it back.
Over the past years we could barely make our payments, so the house steady deteriorated. We thought we just had to do some minor repairs & we could move right back in - but no, everytime we try to do something simple we run into a huge issue that ends up costing more & more money. We are not trying to turn our home into a mansion by any means, we are doing all the work ourselves.
You may ask, why are you bothering if it needs so much work? Well the truth is - this is not just a house, it is our home. We have had the best of times there raising our 2 children & all their friends ! Our door was always open to all the kids, many lived with us from time to time. When things weren't going so well at their homes, they knew they always had a pillow & a blanket at our home - no questions asked. If they wanted to talk we had open ears, & no judgements.
Our home was always full of laughter, music and dancing. I suppose that's what attracted the kids ...
We miss it, everyone misses it.
Renting is not the same, I'm scared to let my grandson play with his toys on the wood floors, they may get scratched.
In our home, the scratches & marks told a story. Showed it was actually lived in & enjoyed.
We were suppose to move out of our rental at the end of May, now it's June & we don't even have a working bathroom in the house.
We need help.
My husband is an artist and donates to every charity that asks him - I'm honestly hoping that maybe, just maybe someone will help us, just this once. It would mean everything to us.
All donations will go towards repairs to our home. Repairs we will do ourselves ( we're very handy & my husband is AWESOME at everything he does).
Thanks for reading our story, even if you don't donate, it's okay. We do understand there are so many others who need WAY more than we do. We will get back home either way, but it would be nice to have a working bathroom first !! lol !
