TONY NEEDS OUR HELP!

Donation protected
I'm Don Marsolais and I have known Tony and his sister, Lisa DeCillis, for about 20 years.  Living together, they have always done the best they could to find work and stay off the streets.  They were not always able to make their monthly payments and, through the kindness of friends and family, they got by.  Their parents have long since been deceased and Tony, Lisa, and another sister, Maria, were all that was left of the immediate family.

In May of 2016, to keep from hurting others, Lisa crashed her car into a pole when her brakes failed.  Unfortunately, this act of selflessness put Lisa in Intensive Care from the date of the accident until mid-August of this year when she succumbed to her injuries.

As you can imagine. this catastrophic event has caused Tony's situation to go from bad to worse.  With approximately $40 in the bank, his monthly income from a 32-hour a week job at minimum wage goes directly to pay his rent, food, and utilities.  He has no cushion for a circumstance like this.  The money that Lisa used to bring in from her job helped to make ends meet.  Tony's bills now exceed his monthly income.

Here is how we can help.  It will cost approximately $3,000 to bury Lisa's ashes with their parents.  In addition, although Tony can drive, the one car that he and Lisa shared was totaled and, without insurance, he now has no transportation.  In order for him to be mobile, he needs a car.  He can buy a previously owned vehicle for approximately $12,000-$15,000.  These are just immediate costs.  The monthly rent that Tony and Lisa could barely afford, has been raised by $125 a month.  Without Lisa's income, this is just one more stress being put on Tony who is living with congestive heart failure, high blood pressure, and pre-diabetes.

Tony is a good man and a veteran who has donated many hours in volunteer service to the Knights of Columbus and, along with Lisa, to the Sacramento Blood Source.  Tony is extremely deserving of our assistance.  Please find it in your heart to help Tony reach a goal of approximately $25,000 to pay for Lisa's funeral, a car, car insurance, and support for his monthly rent and bills.  Let's help keep this veteran off the streets.

Thank you for your kindness and consideration.
