The Lindbo family really needs all the prayers and help they can receive during this exteremly heartbreaking and trying time. They will have many unexpected expenses that will have to be covered, along with a beautiful little guy to support. They're truly one of the most caring and selfless families I know, they're always there to offer a helping hand! Any little bit will go a long ways in helping them keep afloat during this time, please keep them in your prayers and send your love, they are truly appreciative of everything!! Thank you! Read Jon's story below:
After a long struggle trying to determine the underlying cause for several health concerns we learned at the beginning of September that Jon has cancer. A week later we learned the severity of the situation. The doctors believe the cancer originated as cholangiocarcinomia which is blie duct cancer and that specifically, Jon's started in the bile ducts inside his liver. By the time we learned this it had already matastesized around his liver and into his gall bladder, a rib and possibly a bit in his lungs. The cancer is stage 4 and we were told we would most likely have 3 to 6 months with Jon.
He began chemotharapy on the 15th in hopes of stretching that timeframe out a bit longer. He seemed to handle the first treatment pretty well but then on Monday the 19th he was taken to the emergency room with a severe cough and extreme muscle fatigue. Here we learned that he now has pneumonia and a blood infection and Jon was admitted to the CCU at Luther hospital to receive antibiotics and respiratory therapy.
After a couple of days it appears that the antibiotics and respiratory therapy are beginning to do their jobs. While it is still very serious, the infection and his breathing are slowly starting to improve.
The new concern now is that it appears the cancer is progressing very quicky and they have discovered new masses in Jon's kidney's and bladder. He is now in renal failure and has been put on dialysis.
