Carter Strong
In January of this year, Carter’s parents found a lump on his arm. Later testing confirmed every parents’ worst nightmare. 9-year-old Carter was officially diagnosed with a rare, soft tissue cancer called Synovial Sarcoma. This life altering news has devastated the Crawley family and the many people that love them.
After having time to grieve these terrible circumstances, we are now rallying around the Crawley Family to support them as they fight this battle. Carter overcame his first big hurdle, and had a successful surgery to remove the tumor on March 6th. He will be starting chemotherapy on March 24th which will last nineteen weeks and his treatment will also include six weeks of radiation. Carter will be admitted to the hospital for four days to administer the chemo, followed by three weeks at home to recover. Obviously, this treatment schedule is going to be very difficult on everyone and we want Carter to know that we are with him. He has already proven to have such strength, courage and bravery as he encounters each new test/imaging/procedure thrown his direction. Keeping this active, fun-loving, kind-hearted boy in bed will be challenging!
We have created this account to help support the entire Crawley family (Melissa, Kevin, sister Emerson, and Carter) throughout this ordeal. We would love to support them financially, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in anyway possible and your donation will be used to bless and support these wonderful people who are such a blessing to all who know them. The Crawley’s are incredibly loved by so many in our community.
Carter’s mom Melissa is so kind and more inclined to help others than she is to accept help for herself. Her only request has always been such a simple one- to pray for Carter. If donating to the family is an option, we would be forever grateful; if not, a prayer would be just as appreciated. ❤️ #CarterStrong
