Save Durhamville Log Cabin

Thank you to everyone who has donated. We have received the $5,5000 that we need for the roof. The roof will be replaced before the end of the year.
There are other repairs that need to be done as well. If you would like to donate to those we are still accepting donations. Joe Stabb has volunteered to maintain the cabin and provide any needed maintenance.

The DV Log C abin that is located on the front lawn of Durhamville Elementary. In 1976 the Durhamville area residents built a Log Cabin on the grounds of the Elementary School. One of the many things that make Durhamville Elementary unique is the Log Cabin.
The Cabin has cedar shake shingles on the roof. These are the original shingles and have been on the cabin for 40 years now, which is actually pretty amazing! However, the shingles are in very bad shape, some have fallen off and the cabin is in dire need of a NEW ROOF.
Roof Replacement has been quoted by a local company within our community. They are donating all of their labor, as a labor of love. We are only looking for donation money to cover the cost of the materials which is $5,500.
The students at Durhamville still use the Log Cabin to this day and one of their favorite activities is making Stone Soup over the fireplace in the cabin. Please help us preserve this historic and special building to so many.
