Hello everyone,


Estefania Rodriguez , I attend LPS Richmond I´m in11th grade. I was raised in Richmond like a lot of people may say it´s a city of pride and purpose . It may not be one of the safest and quitest but it´s a place with culture. My family is split up my mother and father have been divorced since I was a little girl. They didn´t have a good education in order for them to have a good in come and support me on this trip. 


Next summer, I have the opportunity to participate in an 11 day educational tour of Spain. If I am able to reach my fundraising goal, I will be visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla and Granada to experience some of the things I have only read about in books or seen on TV. This will be the first time many of my peers and I leave California, and we are eager to immerse ourselves in a new culture, improve our communication, and gain new perspectives.


This oppertunity will allow me to know how it feels to be away from and be far from my parents. When I go to college I may want to go away from home , I want to get use to the idea of being independent, and away from my family.


Our group is already working hard to meet our ambitious goal by organizing small fundraisers around our community. Both of my parents are saving with whatver they can. I try not to buy things I may not need in order to save money in order to go on this trip. They can´t afford much because they have low income , they could only amount set.   I am doing everything I can to make this dream a reality and I really need your support.
