Send me to Spain!

My name is Jasmine and I am an 11th grader at LPS Richmond. My family wants me to do the best I can in school and have a future being successful, just like my teachers at LPS as well. They know how important it is and how much I value education. The community in my school is very supportive and caring. All teachers care about our future, going to college and becoming successful. LPS gives us students many opportunities to do things like traveling.
Next summer, I have the opportunity to participate on a trip to Spain. When I go with my fellow peers, we will have tours of Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Granada, Cordoba, Costa del Sol and Seville. When we go we will learn about many things like the history of Spain, and we will practice their language in an authentic way. I am very excited about what we will do to learn out there. It will be a new experience, we will be able to experience the culture and see how different their worldview is from ours. This opportunity excites me because many high school stuents like myself do not get to go on a trip out of the country with students in the same school, even friends. I believe I will also build a closer relationship with them and my teachers.
This opportunity will allow me to maybe go to the college I want to go because they will see how outgoing I am or even realize that I am a risk taker. I am a person who stays close to family and does not travel far or more than 4 days because I honestly get scared. It will also help me personally in being able to discover/learn new things and value this and other educational experiences.
I am asking for donations to help myself and my peers to make this trip a reality. I do not think it would be fair if some of us would not be able to go and be left behind because of financial situations. I hope people help me make this happen because going to Spain at this age is a once in a lifetime experience and it would be like a dream come true.
I want to make this happen to show others that through school I can make things like this reality and show how truly important it is.
