Hello everyone,
I'm Zachary Braxton. I live with my loving father,mother and brother in Richmond, California. Although money is tight in our family, we enjoy our life in what we have. LIving in Richmond has proven to be the experience of a life time. There is such a large mix of ethnicities and cultures here that gives me a chance to see how others live and enjoy life in their own unique way.
Next summer, I have the opportunity to participate in an 11 day educational tour of Spain. If I am able to reach my fundraising goal, I will be visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Sevilla and Granada to experience some of the things I have only read about in books or seen on TV. This will be the first time many of my peers and I leave California, and we are eager to immerse ourselves in a new culture, improve our communication, and gain new perspectives.
This trip helps me start my dream of travelling the world. I've always been interested in the rest of the world but have never got to experience them first hand due to finanacial propblems. This trip will not only help me achieve one of my dreams but also help me expand my knowledge of the Spanish language. If I got to go on this trip it would change my life.
Our group is already working hard to meet our ambitious goal by organizing small fundraisers around our community. Already my family and I have been fundraising and setting aside money to go on this trip. The time that they take out of their schedual to help me means the world to me. We have a good start and I know we will continue to improve. I am doing everything I can to make this dream a reality and I really need your support.
