SalamuAlaikum to all our friends,
The CSULB MSA is spearheading this fundraiser to collect funds for replacing Ahmed Bibi's stolen car. His car was stolen during our Eid @ The Beach carnival, and when it was found by the police after an extensive search, they found the car abused (stolen parts) and nonfunctional. Despite finding it, they still do not have a car.
He was our Emcee for the event and both him and his family really contributed greatly to the success of our event. As his brothers and sisters, we want to use this as an opportunity to demonstrate our Islamic commitment to brotherhood, and supporting one when one is in need. The MSA's goal is to collect $1750 (the value of the car) as soon as possible. Remember that every dollar counts. Whether you can donate $5 or $100, you will be rewarded for what you can give. This is a surprise to the family, so please do not tell Mosstafa or Ahmed about this initiative until we offically collect enough funds and present it to them as an MSA. Remember that when you give another in time of need, Allah will give you in your time of need. It's the beauty of this Deen.
May Allah acccept this effort, and may His generosity be manifested in your generosity. As an MSA, let's do our part. That's what it's all about. Bismillah.
