Help for Ryan Leblanc's 2 children
Donation protected
Tragically on September 15 2016 a young man and incredible father passed away in horrific work site accident.
Ryan Leblanc was a professional painter having spent over 7 years in the field. On September 15 he was painting an awning at a local buisness in downtown Victoria when he fell 6 meters to the pavement below. He died from his injuries at the scene.
Unforunitly there were no witnesses or security cameras. He was wearing a harness but it could not be determined if it was attached at the time. There was no fault or foul play suspected. Truly an un believable tragedy.
Ryan leaves behind two small children. A 4 year old son Keegan and a 3 year old daughter Syrena-Kelly. Although they were not together Jasmine Mintenko (the kids mother) and Ryan co-parented like best friends. Still splitting daycare, sports and even food costs. Ryan gave everything to those kids. Supported their mom in every way he could and was an amazing father. His kids always always came first.
With their dad gone their mom is now having to raise these babies on her own. A tough job for any mom but an even tougher one when the death is sudden and so unexpected.

"It is with great sadness and a broken heart I announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Ryan Leblanc father to my kids and one of my best friends despite it all. Ryan passed last Thursday September 15 2016 in a tragic work site accident. He is greatly missed and loved by so many. Words cannot express the grief being felt at this time. The world has lost an amazing young soul. An amazing father. His kids were everything to him. He always put them first and was often more mom and dad for the both of us. He was the strong one; always believed in everyone. Was there for everyone and anyone and never asked for help. My heart aches. He strongly believed death was because people had learned the lesson they needed or taught to move them on to the next stage in life. He never believed this was where life ended. He always always believed that there was something more. Earth was just a stage. A waiting ground to the next part of life. This was just a step to a bigger purpose etc. He believed so strongly that there was more to life than what we saw here on earth. It's what's keeping me going and it's what I will keep close and always tell my kids. Rest easy Ryan. Gone from Earth but not from our hearts ❤ we love you."
"There are no words to express this or explain. He was just such an amazing dad. An amazing man. The good ones go too young. And he was the epitiamy of good. Life sucks sometimes and there is nothing anyone can do
I wish I could take your place. Your babies need you. You were so much stronger for them than me. I'm sorry I never told you enough how much you meant to me and how much I appreciated everything you did for the kids and I. You were always there for us even tho we didn't work out. I always thought we would be co-parenting as best friends. Seperate but apart for the kids. I MISS YOU SO MUCH. ❤

Because his death is an accident. A truly truly tragic one. Worksafe pays for a portion of the funeral and a small Penton to the kids each month till they are 19 (in total less than 100thousand split between them). This isn't even close to what their dad paid for daycare, food and sports for his children. Education was so importsnt to Ryan and he always wanted to start a fund for thr kids schooling. We are asking the public. Begging if anyone can help these two sweet children and their heartbroken mom make it through this tough time a little easier.
A trust fund has been set up for the children. A portion of the funds will be used to cover the rest of the funeral (Ryan and Jasmine were both low income with little money to spare. And being so young death was not planned for in the slightest) a portion to cover lost wages and the rest will be moved into the childrens trust fund at CIBC in Colwood.
