This GoFundMe page was established for those looking to help one of our own - OG Squire family Rene Rutanen.

Rene has been battling breast cancer with a defiant spirit since diagnosed July 2022 and has fought a brave battle and still has a long road ahead.

Mention Rene Rutanen to anyone and their face lights up! Rene has an infectious laugh, a vivacious personality and is always there for her friends. Always in all ways!

Still smiling, still joking around but inside she’s been physically and mentally beat up. Due to her disease she has been unable to work full time and it has impacted her financially due to the point she postponed her reconstructive surgery due to lack of insurance and financial strain.

We her friends, don’t want her to have to do that. She needs and WANTS to move forward and get back to feeling like herself.

We are so grateful for the outpouring of support to date from friends and family -- near and far.

Rene has a lot of living to do! Every penny we raise will help. Pennies equal dollars so no contribution is to small.

We don't know all the twists and turns of this journey but having the ability to cover the costs of Rene’s reconstruction, future medical treatments and needs to make it easier will help so much. With much love and appreciation
