Helping Special Needs Children
Donation protected
My name is Amy Niang Dieng I am a Senegalese woman living in the United States. Here is my daughter, born with cerebral palsy. At 4 months she weighed 1lb 4oz. This handicap took away her ability to walk up until she was 7 years old. Today, thanks to our hard fight and dedication, she has developed many abilities like being able to walk, horseback riding in the form of hippo-therapy, has mastered several languages and is an honor roll student. Now that we have experienced this journey and have overcome it, we are more determined than ever to help special needs children in Senegal who don't have the resources we had. My current goal is to open a inclusive education school with a therapeutic facility to help them become both physically and mentally independent. We raise money and collect donations of school supplies and medical equipment (crutches, wheelchairs etc ...) that we send back to encourage them and their parents to pursue education and believe in their futures. With your help and my experience, together we can make a change.
