Armando's Fund
Donation protected

Hello there, I am writing on behalf of Armando Rodriguez. Armando is an amazing 16 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy. I am a close personal friend of the family and I want to set up this campaign in order to help provide supplemental income to help Armando and his family. I have known Armando and his family for ten plus years now and I would do anything to see that he recieves the best care available. It was recently determined that Armando needs to have more extensive testing for his cerebral palsy in addition to his monthly Doctor visits. Armando currently visits with a team of Doctors and Therapists several times a month as it is. Due to the increased number of appointments and procedures, it has created a hardship for his mother who takes care of him. Sonya, his mother, has had to stop working in order to help care for him and ensure that he attends all of the added appointments. Sonya still has to keep up with the costs of daily living expenses, travelling to appointments and housing expenses. Again, I am setting up this campaign in hopes that Armando and his family will be able to afford to attend these additional visits. Any donations will be greatly appreciated not only from me, but especially from his family!
Armando is a Junior at Tucson High in Tucson, AZ. Armando really loves sports especially football, basketball and baseball. His favorite teams are the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL, the San Francisco Giants in the MLB, and the New York Knicks in the NBA. Carmelo Anthony is his favorite player for the New York Knicks. Armando also loves the University of Arizona Wildcats!!! BEAR DOWN!!!
Armando is a very special brother in a family that is blessed to have him. He has a very large and loving family of six brothers and one very lucky sister. Armando's mother Sonya, is the backbone that holds this family together. I love them all dearly!!!
Ever since birth Armando was delt a unique set of challenges to himself, doctors, family and friends. In his particular situation, it was clear that from an early age Armando would have difficulties with activities of daily living. Armando has never been able to walk on his own two feet, he is unable to feed himself and he presents quite a challenge bathing or getting dressed. Armando is now a teenager who is continually growing. Due to his long frame and increased weight, it is difficult for his mother to now transfer Armando. Sonya, Armando's mother, has done an amazing job up until this point of caring for him! As I mentioned before he does have a wonderful support web of family and friends, but the challenges are still ever present.
I would like to thank anyone who takes the time to read Armando's story and I hope that he will recieve the care that he deserves!!!
