Relief from Hurricane Beryl for Family in Carriacou.
I’m Drezelle Mills, a native of Grenada. On July 1, 2024, my small, peaceful home island of Carriacou was struck by Hurricane Beryl.
Beryl had a catastrophic impact across the entire land. Several of my family houses, as seen above, were shattered in my village. Both exterior and interior were damaged as well.
There’s a scarcity of basic resources such as access to clean water supply and food supplies which may persist over the next few days to weeks or so.
ALL FUNDS will go directly to restoring my family homes as well as basic necessities.
Update: I was finally able to contact my family after ~72 hours post the hurricane.
My family is physically safe, thank God, but several of my family members got superficial lacerations and one had nail puncture wound treated by Pricess Royal Hospital.
They are forever grateful for everyone donating and/or sharing this gofundme. It's not near to the amount of expenses they will incur to get back to somewhat normalcy; but it's a great chunk of relief to get basic necessities shipped to them and to purchase initial supplies.
