Amanda’s Journey

I am Amanda’s mom, Deanna. I want to ask you to help Amanda Tarpley. She has had a life changing experience over the last two weeks.  She has been in the hospital for nine days and is finally home.  Amanda started losing vision in her left eye and within 24 hours lost almost complete vision in both eyes.  She can only see out of the far right corner of her right eye. Right now she is trying to control the pain. She cannot handle light.  She has a severe case of retrobulbar optic neuritis, which is swelling of the nerve behind the eye.  She has had multiple tests and has many more to come. Amanda has seen many specialists trying to determine the underlying cause of her blindness.  I am asking for help to raise money to pay the many doctors and specialists that are needed. There is no guarantee her vision will come back.  If it does, it could take months.   Being unable to work, her monthly expenses and medical bills will continue to grow.  We have a long road ahead.
