My beautiful and sweet wife Danette has had trauma to her heart muscle. The condition Danette had is caused by the hearts reaction to a surge of stress hormones. The condition is called takotsubo cardiomyopathy, apical ballooning syndrome or stress cardiomyopathy by doctors. The surge in stress can cause damage to the heart muscle.  In Danettes' case, it did cause some damage which will be treated with meds and continued monitoring by doctors. She has to be very careful going forward, which means she will be out of work for some time.
