Luke Dudley Funeral Fund
Donation protected
Thanks for viewing Luke Dudley’s GoFundMe page. My name is Dana and I have been a family friend to Luke’s parents, Juli Clarke and John Dudley, for most of my life. I am reaching out to you in hopes that your compassion and generousity will lead you to help a grieving family in need.
Luke Dudley made his debut into the world June 4, 1996; he was the 4th child born into a still growing family (he would later be joined by 2 more siblings). He was special from the start with his thick curly hair, quiet demeanor, independence, great sense of humor and love of nature. At a very early age his parents learned that Luke suffered from Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. This changed many things in his daily life, but Luke was independent from the beginning. He monitored and managed his diabetes every day without complaint while still keeping very active.
Luke spent the majority of his life in Tennessee, which he loved. Very early on he discovered his passion for hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors being close to nature and God. In the short life that he had, he possessed more knowledge about the outdoors than many people twice his age. He always seemed so much wiser than his years. Luke loved his family, both immediate and extended, and they all felt the same about him. He remained close to them all until his death. Luke, never one to complain about much, struggled with the damage that his diabetes had done to his body over the years.
On September 16, 2016 Luke passed away unexpectedly. This loss has had a huge impact on all of the loved ones he left behind. His family had no warning and no time to prepare for this event. They are coping with the tremendous emotional toll of his passing as best they can. They are also trying to meet the financial burden of his funeral and burial. In a perfect world, no parent would ever have to bury their child. In trying to bring some relief during this horrible time of grief, I hope to raise enough money to cover these expenses. Your donations are greatly appreciated by all of his family.
Free from the limitations caused by his diabetes, I can only hope that Luke has found a great fishing spot sitting with his grandfather and grandmother and he is smiling.
