Hi There!
For those of you who may not know, my name is Julian Moon. For all intents and purposes I am what you would call a 'singer/songwriter'. Sometimes I like to pretend I'm not but the denial doesn't last very long - pretty soon song ideas come banging on the door and won't leave me alone until I let them in and write out what they're wanting to say.
Awhile back (when there was talk about possibly making a second album with Warner Brothers) I wrote a slew of songs that try as I might won't leave me alone. I can't deny it - they are very, very special. They are different, and magical and strange and they are persistant. They've been nagging me and nagging me to release them out into the world and I've been trying to figure out a way to do so. I've realized I can't do it without your help because unfortunately the muses chose a broke 20-something year old to be their mouthpiece and so this is where YOU come in - I am humbly asking, on behalf of these songs, will you help me pay to record them?
I feel a bit uncomfortable asking this of you, because I know we all are struggling (and some of you with things far more serious than songs wanting to be recorded) and most of us aren't 'rolling in the dough', but these songs are desperate to be heard. I've been avoiding doing this because self-promotion is hard, and scary and let's be honest it's a bit annoying for everyone involved - but the truth is this isn't about me. This is about the art...
The money raised on this 'campaign' will be used to pay for recording the songs: studio time and the producer's time.
No matter how much or how little you donate (even if you donate your time to click 'share') I will be forever grateful to you - every dollar counts and your support means the universe and beyond to me (and to the songs).
