Darius Jr's Blue Grey Football trip
Darius Long Jr., my youngest son, very recently found out he was accepted as a player for the Blue/Grey High School Football Bowl in Texas (http://bluegreyfootball.com/). He beat out 6,750 other players from the around the western United States to secure this invitation to play at AT&T Stadium in Texas (home of the Dallas Cowboys) in December. On top of that, he was an Advanced Placement student for two years, is currently getting all A's and B's during his senior year, and is a gentle giant being scouted by colleges for both grades and football. To see his football skills, you can Google "Darius Long Jr. Encinal"
Anyone that knows our family knows that we never ask for help from anyone, but we're asking for help with this. Despite me working two jobs, we cannot afford this trip on our own. This is a huge achievement for him that he will carry into his adult years, and one that is financially unattainable for us at this time due to 2 car accidents (neither were our fault and one resulted in a totaled car and permanent disability), employment and health issues. Any donation helps, and is very humbly appreciated by us. To anyone reading this, thank you in advance for your donation, your kind thoughts and prayers and any help getting the word out.
