Help Support Talia

This account has been created to help Randy, Michelle and Talia during a very difficult time.
Talia was adopted from Azerbaijan when she was two years old and it was soon discovered that she had severe autism. For her entire life, her parents have done their best to make sure that Talia lived the greatest, most normal life possible. Like any 17 year old girl, she loves swimming, attending concerts and Taco Bell.
Unfortunately, in recent years Talia's autism has caused her to become incredibly violent, to herself and others. Her unpredictable and uncontrollable outbursts have led to many medications, doctors, psychiatrists, and in recent years, hospitalizations, all to no avail.
Recently, and after quite the ordeal, Talia has been accepted to one of the only three hospitals in the country equipped to deal with a child with such severe issues, Kennedy Krieger in Baltimore, MD. ( https://www.kennedykrieger.org ) She will be here 4-6 months and unfortunately, this does not come without a cost.
While their insurance finally (and after much pressure from various avenues) agreed to help cover the cost of the hospitalization, Michelle and Randy must travel back and forth to visit, attend parent meetings and trainings. On top of the expense of travel, they will both be forced to miss work as well. This account has been created to help alleviate the incredible stress this will put on them so that they can focus on getting Talia the help she so desperately needs.
If you know Randy and Michelle, you'll also know they are not the people to ask for help but desperate times call for desperate measures. As a result, I am calling on all of their friends and family to rally around them during this difficult but necessary time. Together, we can all be a part of giving Talia the life she deserves.
