Rudy's Pro Basketball Tryouts

Donation protected
Friends, family, and strangers;

First I would like to thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this. I will try to be as breif as possible in making my point.

Basketball has always been my passion. It started with a small toddler toy hoop that I would crawl and drop a ball into. My parents said I would love to hear the, "ding," of the bell that would ring whenever I made a shot. I have come a long way since those toddler days; through hard work, determination, and a great support system pushing me I became an All-Conference player in high school and a 4 year college starter. In only 2 and a half years at Beloit College I became the 3rd in career assists in the schools history. In my senior season (this past year) I scored over 17 points and 5. 5 assists per game. Most importantly, however, Beloit's record has improved every year that I have been a part of the team, which is something I take great pride in. The life lessons and great memories I have learned in my years as a student athlete have helped shape me into the person I am today, and I am eternally greatful for all those who have been a part of my journey thus far.

Now, with my high school and college basketball career behind me, I am looking forward to the next chapter. I am fortunate enough to have been invited to a number of tryouts this summer for opportunities to play professional basketball. This is where the Go Fund Me account comes in:

Between the costs for the tryouts themselves (anywhere from $250-$500) along with the travel costs and room and board expenses (the tryouts are very far from my home in Madison, WI) pursuing this dream of becoming a pro basketball player is going cost a sizable amount of money. As a soon-to-be college graduate I will not have the money to cover the costs in time (my earliest tryout is May 21st, only a few weeks away).

Asking for money from others is an uncomfortable act for me. I am not, therefore, trying to raise all the money for these tryouts through this account. I am also trying to earn as much of this money as I can through my school work study, lawn mowing, and training younger athletes. I am not asking for others to pay for my dream for me; I am simply asking for help.

So for those who have been a part of my journey this is one way for you to continue to add value. For those who I do not know, I hope that now you will consider becoming active participants in my journey and helping me achieve my dreams. Anything you can give helps. The smallest gifts still show me that you support me and my dream.

Again, I thank you all for reading this, and I hope that someday I am able to help you with your dreams as well!
