BATTLE CRY

Esta, aged 15, is an aspiring young lady living in Medway, who has a passion for Kickboxing. Unfortunately Esta’s start in secondary school wasn’t great as she was bullied for almost 2 years, with no support from the school. Part way through year 8 Esta was withdrawn from school to be Elective Home Educated as this was the only way she could be free from the mental and physical abuse. Esta has always thought about others and whilst being home educated she was committed to helping in the community around her studies, raising funds for a local family as well as being involved at a local community cafe. In September 2022 Esta started at UTC Gillingham, where her confidence and education has improved immensely. In addition, Esta has been training in K1 kickboxing, supported by her dad Roger, as a form of defence and to build her confidence. Esta has since gone on to complete in several competitions and hopes to progress onto larger tournaments but to do so she will need to raise funds and be sponsored.
