It's a miracle! My mom got a kidney over Memorial Day Weekend. She has a been given a great gift, but sadly the expenses are adding up quickly.
In order to get to Iowa from the Poconos in time to receive the cadaver kidney, they had to charter a jet plane to Iowa to the tune of nearly $12,000 out of pocket.
She is also required to stay in Iowa (at a hotel, also out of pocket) for almost a month so the team can adjust her medications. These expenses are not covered by insurance and are racking up.

Please consider making a donation of any size to help offset these costs so my mom can worry less and enjoy life more.
Here is my mom's story in her own words:
“The last three years have been a journey for me. I have been battling Kidney disease. Trying to live a "normal" life while trying to fight this silent enemy. Over the last two months the disease has progressed and my doctor just shared that it is time to get ready for dialysis and see if I am eligible for a transplant. The challenge has been to stay positive and fight. Writing makes it so real - needless to say I am scared and sad. Life is about to change drastically. I have drawn strength from family and friends and now I am drawing my larger group of friends in to help me through the coming days."
