Ted Eckhardt is an All American Hard Working Man! He would give the shirt off his back for those in need, and has for many. For a proud man, who has worked 10+ hours a day since he was 14, it is HARD for him to ask for help. He lost his job of 13 yrs in September '15, and was in the process of getting a new one with the county when he was diagnosed the squamous cell carcinoma. "The hard working man's cancer", mostly due to the fact that they work in the outdoors and the elements.
You're in between jobs, and with no insurance, what do you do? It's cancer for god's sake! ...You Fight!
He has been able to work for family & friends to make ends meet but now the chemo and radiation are upon him, he needs help! The cost of radiation is astronomical and an enormous burden to bear for anyone, let alone someone without insurance and unable to put in the hours he used too.
Radiation begins in October and with the help from family, friends and YOU, Ted will get the treatment he so truly needs and deserves. He is a one-of-a-kind, sweet, funny, loving and generous man.
Ted is also a devoted husband and son, who still makes sure that his ill mother's needs are meet daily. He is never one to wallow, complain or take the easy way out. He makes every effort to work, despite is own ailments. But due to our healthcare system, he is having to reach out to strangers for help. This is a tough thing for a proud and private person to do.
All of your gifts of help are so appreciated and words of thanks cannot be said enough...Thank You!
