Get Matt Back

I am Maddy McClung from Thousand Oaks, California. Matt giraldo is my boyfriend of 4 years. Matt is a friend to everyone he meets. Everyone feels a little better when Matt's peaceful personality enters the room. He's a loved son, brother, buddy, and boyfriend. Matts life has not been the easiest road. He's had a rougher path than most of us. But despite life's challenges, he continues to be the most determined and adventurous man. This past Friday in Big Bear Matt was being a little too adventurous (or just living his life a little more fully than the rest of us) and found himself in a critical accident.

He is currently at Loma Linda hospital with a broken back in two places, a cracked rib, a partially collapsed lung, and a broken wrist.

His education is of most concern right now as this is his final semester of college before transferring. He completed this semester at Moorpark with a 4.0 on top of a 30 hour work week at UHAUL. He has applied to Cal Poly, SDSU, UCLA, Cal State Long Beach, and University of Vermont. As he will no longer be able to drive to school, we are going to have to find other means for him.

Matt has essentially been financially independent since age 17. After crying about potentially never snowboarding again matt was immediately concerned about the hospital bill. Something no human should EVER have to worry about when their life is on the line. The funds will be used for his medical bills and schooling. We're asking because anything helps, and if Matt knew about this he would probably kill all of us as he never asks for anything from anyone. I intend to withdraw the money for Matt. Thank you all.
