On Wednesday Sept. 14th, Jackie went to the hospital with severe stomach pains.  She was diagnosed with Dervaticulitis. She was placed on antibiotics, and would be staying in the hospital for a few days to see if the infection would clear up.  On Friday, due to complications her lungs collapsed, and was rushed into Emergency Surgery, they repaired her lungs and was given a colostomy bag. Since her surgery, she has been placed in the ICU. She is heavily sedated, and has been placed on a respirator until she is strong enough to breathe on her own. As of Monday 8/19 the doctors have placed her on Dialysis for 12 hours, due to ARDS (Accute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). Jackie does not have medical insurance, she has a long road to recovery ahead of her, and while she is getting stronger medical bills and the cost of living will be piling up. When she finally gets out of the hospital and goes home the last thing we want while she is healing is to be stressed or worried about her bills. 
 If you know Jackie, you know she always has a smile on her face, and will do anything for her family or friends. Jackie is a fun loving person who has a heart as big as the ocean. I've known Jackie for 10 years, and soon after meeting her and her twin sister Jenny, they quickly took me into their family, and where always there for me. She's bartender and waitressed in the Seacoast for years upon years upon year. Neither of the girls can go somewhere without knowing someone, or someone mistaking them for the other twin.  
Anything you can give, will be greatly appreciated by the family who are beside themselves with worry.  Staying by her side, talking to her and sharing stories.
